10U North Gwinnett Blaze- Fall 2009
We would like to welcome all of the players and families to the Fall 2009 season. The 10U North Gwinnett Blaze finished its first year of fast-pitch travel softball on fire. The team was the top-finishing Georgia team in the USFA B World Series held July 12-18 in Panama City Beach, FL. The Blaze faced tough competition from teams from Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas, and finished tied for 9th place overall out of a field of 55 teams. In addition to a great World Series showing this month, the Blaze won the Bringin' the Heat Tournament held in Covington and finished second at the B&C Classic held in McDonough. Players include Sarah Beam, Addison Cameron, Savannah Chunn, Bailey Martin, Allison Roach, Haley Short, Ryann Shumeyko, Gabby Teran, Erin Wilbur, and Lexi Young. The team is coached by Chris Wilbur, Travis Martin, Chris Short, and Daniel Teran.
Clash of the Titans- September 27
The North Gwinnett Blaze started the 09 Fall season with a 5th place finish in the Easton Elite 98 fundraiser tournament- Clash of the Titans. The tournament featured some of the best teams in the Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee area- Birmingham Thunderbolts, 99 Worth Cobras, 99 Chattanooga Cyclones, Huntsville Octane, Dacula Falcons and the Collins Hill Screamin' Eagles.
6th Annual Who's Who of the Fall- October 18
The 6th Annual Who's Who of the Fall featured 10 teams from the Atlanta-metro area. The North Gwinnett Blaze finished 3rd Place going 4 and 2 for the weekend. Teams in the field included the 99 Georgia Fire, 99 Diamond Attack, 99 Atlanta Vipers, 99 Worth Cobras, 99 Collins Hill Screamin' Eagles, 99 Peachtree Ridge Lions, 99 Easton Elite, 99 Dacula Falcons, and the 99 Georgia Impact.
